Hesham Kamel is a partner based in Paris, France, with more than 7 years of experience in corporate governance, projects, manufacturing, privacy, personal data and cybersecurity. He has a significant academic leverage, as he holds two master’s degrees from the Sorbonne Law School, both specializing in the international rules governing business and trade. He started his career at Sharkawy & Sarhan, and afterwards joined Shehata & Partners, where he rapidly grew until he became a partner. Hesham closed several investment rounds with multiple start-ups and has also been an integral part of multi-million dollars investment and free zone projects.

- Assisting Yazaki Europe Ltd in creating their own private free zone in Egypt, and in their daily corporate, commercial and employment operations.
- Assisting Riskonnect with their operations in the MENA region, namely with respect to commercial law, data protection and privacy.
- Advising and assisting Kingdom Linen to obtain the Golden License and the necessary permits and licenses for their operations.
- Conducting a due diligence report for the China–Africa Development Fund (CADF), in relation with their international operations.
- Advising ISART and Deraya University on the GDPR and data protection laws in Egypt and Saudi Arabia and drafting a cross-border data protection agreement.
- Advising Adam.ai on their worldwide operations, namely with respect to commercial law, intellectual property, data protection and privacy.
- Advising on the establishment of equity incentive plans (stock options, restricted stock, phantom stock, etc.) in cross-border contexts.
- Advising International Investors on the establishment of industrial projects in Egypt, namely on incorporation and private free zones matters, as well as investment law.
- Advising White & Case on the internet of things (IoT) license and data protection and privacy matters.
- Advising on Egyptian nuclear law in the context of El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant.
