Cairo, Egypt – 22 April 2024 – Shehata & Partners is thrilled to announce its selection as the legal advisor for the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) of Egypt. This appointment comes through a project implemented by GIZ Egypt.
Shehata & Partners has provided legal expertise in support of the NREA’s Request for Proposal (RFP) draft, specifically regarding land allocation for future renewable energy and/or green hydrogen projects in Egypt. Our team advised, reviewed, and delivered legal opinions on the RFP draft, ensuring it adheres to all relevant regulations and best practices under Egyptian law.
By supporting the NREA’s land allocation process, this project aims to pave the way for the development of clean energy sources such as solar energy and green hydrogen in Egypt.
